Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-10-12
Scope
Gorge Land Company, LLC (Gorge, we, us) operates the seller website at sell.gorgelandco.com. This policy explains how we handle information collected through that site and information used to review and respond to its property inquiries. It does not describe all operations of other Gorge websites or replace separate notices for other services or transactions.
This is an information-handling notice, not permission for marketing or an agreement to sell land.
Information and sources
The inquiry form collects your name, email address, property location and property-contact permission. You may provide a parcel number, mail reference, information about mail received and notes. We also keep the inquiry date, receipt, source, contact choices and related review history. Where a form presents Website Terms for agreement, we keep those Terms, the submission notice and the time of the accepted submission separately from property-email permission.
To review an inquiry, we use relevant public property records, including county ownership, parcel and tax or assessment records; information from licensed property-data sources; and prior Gorge inquiry, correspondence, mail, offer and property records. These sources may provide ownership names, mailing addresses, parcel identifiers and property characteristics. We compare relevant information with what you submit and record corrections or review findings. A source can be incomplete or outdated; a parcel number or mail reference alone does not verify identity, ownership or authority to receive private offer information.
Please provide only information relevant to your inquiry. Do not include Social Security numbers, financial credentials, identity documents, health information or unrelated sensitive details. Provide another person's information only when authorized.
Website operation
Our hosting infrastructure receives connection and request information, such as IP address, browser information and the requested page address, to deliver and protect the website. A page address may contain a mail reference. Temporary browser storage helps retry interrupted submissions and prevent duplicates. Closing the page does not delete an inquiry already received.
This seller site does not use advertising pixels or visitor-analytics tags, or build cross-site advertising profiles. Necessary website and submission processing still occurs. This statement does not describe advertising on other Gorge websites. This site does not change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals; we do not enable third-party cross-site tracking tools here.
Uses and communications
We use information to review the property and relevant records, consider a purchase, respond about the inquiry with the contact permission provided, and maintain inquiry and permission history. We also use it to prevent duplicate submissions and misuse, protect private information, honor contact restrictions and address legal obligations or disputes.
The form requests permission for property-related email, not unrelated marketing. It does not authorize telephone calls, text messages, automated voice calls or recording. The inquiry form does not collect microphone audio. The separate website text chat is described below. SMS/MMS customer care uses the separate voluntary keyword opt-in described below.
Website text chat
The website chat uses an AI assistant to answer general questions and collect information about your property inquiry. We store your chat messages, responses, reported property information and requests for human review so authorized Gorge personnel can review the conversation and respond in the website chat.
We send chat text, a limited conversation history, related notes and information from an inquiry form you explicitly connect in the same browser to OpenAI to generate and check responses. Our hosting and database providers process the conversation to operate and protect the service. Please provide only information relevant to your inquiry; do not include credentials, identity documents or unrelated sensitive information. Chat does not accept attachments.
A necessary browser cookie keeps access to your conversation for up to 24 hours. Temporary storage in your browser tab helps retry an interrupted message without duplicating it. Closing the page or clearing browser storage does not delete records already received. The retention and rights provisions in this policy apply to those records.
AI responses can be mistaken. Chat cannot approve a purchase, change an offer or guarantee a closing or response time. You can request a team member in chat or use the Contact page. Using chat does not enroll you in SMS or authorize other outbound contact.
SMS/MMS customer care
When you voluntarily text LAND to (541) 827-3110, you agree to receive SMS messages from Gorge Land Company about your property inquiry. Receiving direct mail, submitting the website form or providing a telephone number alone does not enroll you in SMS. We collect the mobile number, message body, message timestamps and delivery information, consent and opt-out evidence, and any MMS files you send.
We use this information for your requested property-inquiry and customer-care conversation, to retain an accurate inquiry history, protect private information and honor contact restrictions. Authorized Gorge personnel and business/service providers necessary to operate messaging, including Twilio and our hosting and private-storage providers, process information for those purposes.
Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
We retain messages, MMS files and consent or opt-out evidence for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the inquiry and meet applicable recordkeeping, dispute, security and legal needs. Limited records may remain necessary to honor an opt-out. Applicable legal obligations and exceptions may require or permit further retention.
Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. For privacy questions or requests, email support@gorgelandco.com. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply.
Sharing
Authorized Gorge personnel review inquiries. Hosting and database providers process requests and store records for website operation and inquiry handling. This seller site uses Vercel for hosting and Supabase for database services.
We also use a business-email provider to receive and respond to correspondence, including privacy requests. We use information provided in those requests to verify and respond to them and maintain an appropriate record of their handling.
We do not sell information submitted through this inquiry form or share it with advertising networks for targeted advertising. We may disclose relevant information when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents, legal claims or protection of rights.
If an inquiry progresses to a separately agreed transaction, relevant information may be provided to the title, escrow or other professional participants handling it. Submitting the form does not itself begin a closing or authorize a purchase.
Retention and protection
Retention depends on whether an inquiry remains active or becomes part of a transaction, and on applicable recordkeeping, dispute, security and contact-restriction needs. Closing a browser or receiving a receipt does not set a deletion date. Limited information may remain necessary to honor a request not to be contacted.
Correction and deletion requests are considered individually under applicable law. Information may be retained where a legal obligation or applicable exception permits or requires it; a recordkeeping system's design does not itself excuse a valid correction or deletion obligation.
Access controls restrict inquiry records to authorized review. No website or transmission method can guarantee complete security.
Privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to confirm processing, access, correct, obtain a copy of or delete personal information, obtain a list of specific third parties to which information was disclosed, or opt out of particular uses, including sale, targeted advertising or qualifying profiling. We do not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. Appropriate identity or authority verification may be needed before records are disclosed or changed. Applicable deadlines, exceptions and appeal rights govern the handling of a request.
A privacy request is not permission for marketing and does not require a property inquiry or agreement to sell land. A request to stop property-related contact is handled separately from any need to retain limited records.
To ask for review or correction of your information or exercise other applicable rights, use the email address below and describe your request. If we deny a request and an appeal right applies, you may reply to the decision or email that address with “Privacy appeal” and explain why you seek review. For an appeal under Oregon’s Consumer Privacy Act, we will respond in writing within 45 days with our decision and reasons; if denied, we will explain how to submit a complaint to the Oregon Attorney General.
Contact
For questions about this policy or to exercise privacy rights that apply to you, email support@gorgelandco.com. You do not need to submit a property inquiry. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or authority before disclosing or changing records.
Children and changes
This website is intended for adults making property inquiries and is not directed to children.
Revisions will be posted here with an effective date and an explanation of material changes. A revised notice does not itself provide consent for a new use requiring permission or change an existing property agreement.
